Southern CA Edison District Offices, Victorville, CA

This award winning landscape project served as a prototype program for future developments in the City of Victorville. Approximately 34 existing yucca trees were incorporated into a native and drought tolerant planting scheme. Drifts of native cobblestone and boulders meandered throughout the site, exemplifying dry streambeds within an ornamental landscape. All irrigation within the streambed areas for native plant materials were intended to be abandoned after establishment of these natives. This design of natives, drought tolerant, and abandonment of 40% of the irrigation, yielded to be a highly water conscious approach to an aesthetically pleasing landscape.
